Africa FAQ

  1. When is the best time to visit Africa?

The large size and diversity of Africa make it a great place to visit year-round. The dry season, however, is best for guests interested in game-viewing. The dry season occurs at different times depending on where you visit. East Africa has a dry season from July through October, while Southern Africa has a longer dry season of April through October.

  2. Are your safaris private?

We offer custom private safaris as well as classic group safaris. Our trips can be tailored to fit your group’s size and needs.

  3. Are immunizations required for a trip to Africa?

In many cases, you will not need any immunizations. Kenya for example does not require an immunization from travelers arriving from the United States, Canada and Europe.

The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recommends a malaria prophylactic. For more information, please review the CDC guidelines for your African country of choice and consult your local immunizations clinic before your trip.

  4. Are safaris good for kids?

Yes! African Safaris are a great way to bond with family. We can accommodate children of all ages. Ask us about our Family Safari options.

  5. Do I need visas?

All travelers visiting Rwanda, Kenya and Tanzania must obtain a visa. Zimbabwe and Zambia also require visas that may be obtained upon arrival. Visas are not required for travel to South Africa, Botswana and shorter stays in Zanzibar for U.S. passport holders.

We will send you information on obtaining visas before your departure.
